Run your brand from Claude or ChatGPT

The FUSE AI connector is an MCP server that gives an AI assistant safe, scoped access to your FUSE brand. Ask it to build a program, change a price or check how the month is going, and it does the work through the same rules as the brand portal.

What it is

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI apps use to connect to outside tools. FUSE runs a hosted MCP server, so any AI app that supports custom MCP connectors can work with your brand.

  • Nothing to install, no API key. You sign in with your normal brand portal login.
  • Scoped to your brand. The AI can only see and change what your brand portal account can, and only the operations FUSE has opened to AI.
  • Never patient data. It works with your setup and with totals, never with an individual patient's details.
  • Asks first. Anything the public would see, or that changes what you sell or charge, stops and asks you before it happens.

Connect (about 2 minutes)

You need your FUSE brand portal login, your second sign-in step (authenticator app or emailed code), and an AI app that supports custom connectors.

Connector address
https://mcp.fusehealth.com/mcp

Claude (web or desktop)

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it FUSE and paste the address above.
  3. Click Connect. A Sign in with FUSE page opens.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Connectors. Turn on developer mode if your plan requires it.
  2. Create a connector with the address above, choosing OAuth if it asks how to authenticate.
  3. Click Connect. A Sign in with FUSE page opens.

Sign in with FUSE

  1. Enter your brand portal email and password.
  2. Enter your second-step code.
  3. Review what the AI is asking for and click Allow.
Use "Sign in" with your existing login. "Create a free developer account" on the same page creates a separate, empty sandbox for trying the connector out. It is not your brand. A sandbox can later become your real brand: see Going live from the sandbox.

Check it worked: ask "Who am I connected to in FUSE?" The answer should be your brand's name.

If the sign-in window misbehaves inside the AI app (blank, or stuck), open the same sign-in link in your normal browser instead. In Claude Code, claude mcp login fuse --no-browser prints the link rather than opening it.

First prompts to try

Paste these one at a time. Each builds on the one before.

  1. "Who am I connected to in FUSE?"
  2. "What program templates can I start from?"
  3. "Create a new draft program called Weight Loss – Starter."
  4. "Which products can I add to it?" then "Add [product] and set its price to $199 a month."
  5. "Is Weight Loss – Starter ready to go live? If not, what's missing?"
  6. "Put Weight Loss – Starter live." It will ask you to confirm first.
  7. "Create a checkout link for it so I can test buying it."
  8. "Create a 15% coupon called WELCOME15 that expires at the end of next month."
  9. "How is my business doing this month?"

Not sure what it can do? Ask "What can you do with FUSE?" The connector has a built-in help tool the AI uses to explain the connection and why something was refused.

What it can do

AreaExamples
ProgramsList, create and duplicate programs; add products; set prices; check readiness; put a program live
CatalogBrowse products and templates; find discontinued products and pharmacy price changes; check which states a product ships to
CouponsList, create and change coupons
CheckoutCreate checkout links for a program
StorefrontColours, headline, menus and footer; create and edit pages other than your homepage (saved as drafts)
AccountBrand profile, onboarding checklist, team, payout and SMS setup, fees
Business totalsOrders and revenue over time, by program and by state; projected revenue

Your AI app shows the full list of tools when you connect. It changes as we open more of the brand portal to AI.

Confirmations, and skipping them while you set up

The connector asks you, in the chat, before it puts a program live (or back on sale), makes a large price change on a live program, makes a burst of many changes, or does something public-facing on your website. It shows one plain sentence describing exactly what will happen. Reply yes to go ahead; anything else and nothing happens.

This check runs on FUSE's servers, not in the AI: a change that needs confirming cannot be applied until you approve that exact change.

Setting up lots at once? When it asks, reply "yes, and don't ask again today". It then stops asking for that kind of change for 24 hours, and says so each time it applies one without asking. Say "start asking me again" to turn confirmations back on. Deleting a page always asks.

Small changes to a live program apply straight away, such as a small price change or adding a product. If you're unsure, try changes on a draft program first.

Privacy and limits

The connector never sends patient information to the AI. Ask about a specific patient or order and it will tell you that isn't available. That is by design. Business totals group small numbers so they can't be traced to a person: states with fewer than five orders are shown as "other states".

It also won't:

  • move money (refunds, payouts, withdrawals);
  • show individual orders (only counts and totals);
  • change API keys or invite people to your team;
  • upload images;
  • change pharmacy routing, which stays under FUSE's control.

Going live: what the AI does and what the portal does

Patients can buy once at least one program is live. If FUSE hosts your storefront (at yourbrand.fusehealth.com or your own domain), it also needs to be published from the brand portal's Portal editor. If you sell from your own website, use checkout links or the FUSE API instead.

Design your homepage in the Portal editor, not with the AI. The storefront you design in Portal is stored as your homepage, and editing the homepage through the AI can overwrite that design. Use the AI for other pages, such as About us or FAQ.

Running it locally (advanced)

Most people should use the hosted address above. If you'd rather run the connector on your own machine, it runs with an AI connector key, which you create in the brand portal under Settings → Organization → API Keys (choose AI connector). The key starts with fuse_ai_, is shown once, and carries the same limits and confirmations as signing in. The local package isn't publicly released yet, so contact us if you need it.

Help and feedback

If something looks wrong, send us:

  • what you asked, in your exact words;
  • what it did or said (a screenshot is ideal);
  • what you expected instead;
  • which AI app you used, and roughly when.

We especially want to hear about a change that happened without asking you, or a confirmation that didn't match what you asked for. To disconnect, remove the FUSE connector in your AI app's settings.
